2. Select hot, windy, and I don’t care for “Has Snow or Not”, what cities come up? Does this make sense given their location?
3. Set all lists to “I don’t care”, which city has the highest precipitation in August? Does this make sense?
4. Control-click (on the map) Phoenix, Arizona and Anchorage, Alaska. Compare their temperature and precipitation, what did you find?
The question we wanted to answer was “Based on the Climate, Which City Fits You Best?”. We decided to include a bar graph of the temperature for each city over the course of a year, a line graph of precipitation over the year for each city and a map that tells users where the cities are. We also included lists for the desired temperature, wind, snow and a option for desired amount of rainfall. This lets users select their preferences and find the cities that fit that criteria. This presentation effectively answers the question we posed and allows users to explore the data and answer further in depth questions below the visualization.

ReplyDelete2. The lowest is 55.59 in Madison and the highest is 91.37 in Phoenix (when looking at all months).
3. It seems that Madison has the most comfortable temperature for me.
4. I think that the two cities that have the closest average temperature are Boston (62.02) and Grand Rapids (62.70).
1. The temperature increases then decrease.
ReplyDelete2. Tucson, El paso, Austin, Dallas and Miami. Yes.
3. Houston, yes.
4. The Arizona has highest temperature.
